Position Overview
- Multi doctor practice offering a wide range of routine and preventive services
- State-of-the-art veterinary facility

Key Responsibilities
- Supervises the staff within all hospital support departments; achieves and maintains all labor goals.
- Hires and trains office and technical clinic support staff; responsible for new hire paperwork.
- Orients and trains new clinic staff to the hospital and duties.
- Reviews work performance of direct reports, constructively delivers feedback, resolves personnel issues, and discussions with the Regional Manager weekly.
- Conducts timely performance appraisals.
- Documents and reports accidents; files appropriate reports.
- Writes policies/procedures relating to all technical aspects of the hospital and presents for approval.
- Manages schedules for technical and administrative staff coordinates the DVM.
- Monitors Workforce Management for missed punches and management of overtime hours daily.
- Administers the daily operations.
- Works with the PetVet Care Centers support team to ensure compliance with all administrative responsibilities.
- Monitors budgets, purchases equipment and supplies, and oversees the maintenance of the facility.
- Responsible for submitting contract veterinarian invoices, submitting all local vendor invoices, ensuring invoice accuracy, and obtaining w9’s from local vendors.
- Assists in resolving issues with pet owners where appropriate.
- Reviews revenue, labor, and employee issues with the PetVet leadership on a weekly conference call; achieve goals set in each area.
- Responsible for all local accounting functions; ensure daily financial information is accurate.
- Oversees the management of the inventory and ensures proper documentation and systems are in place.
- May establish and oversee billing practices; reviews and maintains the accuracy of billing and oversees charge capturing.
- May be responsible for contracts or negotiations with insurance providers.
- Maintain compliance of current licensure and the display of the same. Maintaining updated licenses for DVMs.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in business, health science or related field strongly preferred.
- At a minimum, five years of direct office management experience, including at least two years of supervisory experience is required.
- May consider an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
- Ability to provide customer service in a courteous, prompt, and efficient manner.
- Computer proficiency in using Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, and Excel) and applicable organization-specific software.
- Establish and maintain productive and cooperative working relationships.
- Active time management and organizational skills to complete work promptly.
- Excellent communications skills both orally and in writing.
- Must be flexible with scheduling and able to work some weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work with or around sick animals, potentially hazardous materials, cleaning chemicals, gas anesthetics, zoonotic diseases, and unpleasant odors.
- Depending on the functional area of assignment, tasks may involve extended periods at a keyboard or workstation and/or extended periods standing and/or walking.
- May include some climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Some tasks involve the periodic performance of moderately physically demanding work, usually involving lifting or carrying moderately heavy animals (up to 50 pounds).

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) or Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
- Comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups

Position Overview
Join our team as a Veterinary Technician who supports hospital operations by providing dedicated quality veterinary care and exceptional service to our patients and clients. Responsibilities include providing patient care by determining animal requirements, conducting examinations and diagnostic procedures, assisting during surgery and operations, providing nursing care, assisting with feeding and caring for patients, maintaining medical supplies and equipment, overseeing triage and discharging patients, and maintaining patient medical records.
Healthy Paws Veterinary Center in Little Elm, Texas lives up to its mission-driven name — pursuing wellness for every patient through a comprehensive range of services including wellness exams, diagnostics, dermatology, surgery, dental care, and professional grooming, all within a practice that prioritizes continuity of care by scheduling pets with the same doctor whenever possible. Serving clients across Little Elm, Frisco, and the surrounding North Dallas communities 6 days a week, the team combines small-practice warmth with modern capabilities and a genuine commitment to building personalized, lasting relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Determine animal requirements by conducting examinations and interviews, reviewing care plans and records, completing laboratory tests and studies, and diagnostic imaging.
- Care for patients by taking vital signs, collecting samples, administering medications, drugs, and vaccines, and bandaging and wrapping wounds.
- Support patient examinations and operations by assembling required supplies and instruments, securing and bringing patients to examination rooms, and restraining patients; aids as directed by the veterinarian.
- Provide excellent pet care by applying full knowledge of anatomy, physiology, disease processes, pharmacology, specialized equipment usage, and specialized drug administration.
- Obtain and verify medications.
- Ensure that patients have food and water, clean patients' rooms, cages, and equipment; observe patients for clinical signs of disease.
- As directed, fill prescriptions and administer medications, including proper documentation, logging, and security of controlled drugs.
- Maintain a safe, secure, healthy, and humane environment by sterilizing and wrapping instruments, sanitizing and disinfecting holding and operating areas, storing sterile supplies, verifying shelf life, following standards and procedures, and in compliance with applicable legal regulations.
- Maintain medical records by documenting patients’ conditions, reactions, and changes; update the database in an accurate and timely manner.
- Communicate with the pet owner about the status of the patient, as directed by the veterinarian.
- Maintain equipment by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining equipment supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
- Maintain inventory, place orders for needed supplies, verify, and maintain receipts.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional journals.
- Release pets to their owners as directed; ensure that every animal released is clean and properly groomed before their release.
- Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or practice.
Qualifications (Required)
- 2+ years veterinary technician experience. Patient restraint, collecting vitals, venipuncture (IV catheter placement, blood draws), collecting patient history, preparing vaccinations, discussing preventative care with pet parents, comfortability discussing estimates and payment options with pet parents.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Surgery experience preferred
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), or the Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician (LVMT) preferred or as required by State.
