Dr. Alexis Willingham is a 2005 graduate of Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine.  She grew up on a dairy farm in the North East Texas town of Sulphur Springs, where she was exposed to veterinary medicine from an early age.  Both of her parents and now her younger sister have been in the veterinary profession.  Through vet school, she had the opportunity to do a summer rotation in Ghana, West Africa setting up an animal welfare society, and was able to complete her externship at a veterinary practice in Orbost, Australia. 
After graduation, she worked several years in a mixed animal practice just North of Denton.  She and her husband, Joe, recently relocated to Little Elm.  She is a member of the local, state, and national veterinary medical associations.  Dr. Willingham's veterinary interests include internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery, and endocrinology.  Outside of the clinic, she enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with friends and family. Dr. Willingham looks forward to getting to know you and your four-legged family members.
Dr. Lauren Shores is a 2008 graduate of the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine.  As the daughter of a veterinary neurosurgeon, animals have always been an extremely important part of her life, and she has had many opportunities in veterinary medicine throughout her childhood and education.  During veterinary school, Dr. Shores studied at Michigan State University in medical and surgical oncology, assisted in many surgical procedures, and completed advanced courses in small animal surgery and neurology.  Each year since 2001, she travels to Honduras with the Episcopal Diocese of Mississippi for a medical mission trip as a translator and veterinarian for both large and small animals in the village.  Dr. Shores is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP), as well as the state and national veterinary medical associations.  In her spare time, she plays co-ed softball and is a performing member of The Frisco Ballet.  Dr. Shores is new to Texas this year and is enjoying meeting all your pets!
