As Summer winds down and early Fall approaches, please remember that  fleas, ticks and mosquitoes are still plentiful and can cause a variety of problems/illnesses with your pet. Please make sure your pet (both canine and feline friends) are protected against these parasites.  Monthly preventives are available in flavor tablets, chewable treats and easy to apply topical formulations.  Most preventives also include monthly intestinal dewormers, which is extremely important in households with young children.

Healthy Paws Veterinary Center maintains a full pharmacy of veterinary prescription medications and retail items (such as shampoos, vitamins, flea and tick medications, etc.) as well as Hill's Science Diet and Hill's Prescription foods, at reasonable prices.  As an added bonus, many drug manufacturers offer incentives at the time of purchase, such as a free month of Revolution, Frontline or K-9 Advantix, with the purchase of a six-pack. Please remember that dental cleaning is very important to your pet.  Routine dental cleaning, polishing and fluoride treatment can prevent bacteria originating in the gums from spreading to vital organs and causing disease in the heart, liver and kidneys.  Please call the office to schedule an appointment.

Healthy Paws Veterinary Center has two pet stylists on staff for all of your pet grooming needs.  We also offer Day Care in our comfortable boarding area.  In addition, if your pet is boarding with us, kennel baths and grooming (in most cases) can be done while your pet enjoys their stay.
